Delhi Capitals beat SRH by 17 runs to reach their maiden IPL final

Abu Dhabi/UNI: Delhi Capitals produced a clinical to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 17 runs in Qualifier 2, at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, here on Sunday to reach their maiden IPL final.

Delhi Capitals (DC), batting first posted posted a total of 189/3 in the allotted 20 overs.

Shikhar Dhawan was the top-scorer with 78 off 50 balls, notching up his fastest IPL fifty. Stoinis scored 38 off 27 while Shimron Hetmyer remained unbeaten on 42 off 22 deliveries.

For SRH, Jason Holder, Sandeep Sharma, and Rashid Khan took one wicket each.

In reply, SRH ended with 172/8 in 20 overs, losing the match by 17 runs and finishing third in IPL 2020.

This is the first time in their 13-year history that DC have made it to the IPL final. Delhi Capitals will now face Mumbai Indians in the summit clash on Tuesday.
