England defeat India, win series 3-1

London, Aug 17 (IBNS): England thrashed India by an innings and 244 runs in the fifth and final Test match at The Oval to win the five-match series 3-1 here on Sunday.

India were all out for 94 runs in their  second innings.

Stuart Binny remained the top scorer for India with his unbeaten 25.

England were all out for 486 run after dismissing India for 148 runs in their first innings.
