IPL: Kings beat RCB by 5 wickets

Dubai, Apr 28 (IBNS) Kings XI Punjab continued their strong performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year as they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by five wickets here on Monday.

Chasing, RCB's modest 124 for eight, Kings reached 127 by losing five wickets in 18.5 overs.

Virender Sehwag gave Kings a good start with his 26-ball 32 but failed convert his personal score reach 50.

David Miller added 26 runs with his bat and remained the second highest-scorer for the side.

After the fall of five wickets for 88 runs on the scoreboard, skipper

George Bailey (16*) and Rishi Dhawan  (23*) added 39 runs in the sixth wicket partnership to help the side reach the target quite easily at the end.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Varun Aaron picked up two wickets each for RCB.

Earlier, RCB posted 124 for eight on the scorecard.

Chris Gayle (20) failed to convert the start he got.

Virat Kohli added just four runs on the scorecard and departed without bothering the scorers much.

Yuvraj Singh top scored for the side with his 35.

Sandeep Sharma  picke up three wickets for Punjab.

RCB 124 for 8 in 20 overs(Yuvraj Singh 35; S Sharma 3-15)

Kings Xi Punjab 127 for 5 (V Sehwag 32; V Aarom 2-29, Y Chahal 2-23)
