Mumbai, Dec 24 (IBNS) DSK Shivajians u19 beat Mumbai FC u19 3-1 in a thrilling encounter at the Cooperage Football Stadium in the U19 I-League. Mumbai FC had taken a half time lead at half time but three goals in the space of fifteen minutes stole the thunder off Abdul Siddique's side.

The game saw some early possession football from the DSK Shivajians as the Mumbai FC youngsters were chasing the ball. The Mumbai team maintained a high line as the DSK forwards got caught offside time and again.

Mumbai’s first chance came as they won a free kick a few yards away from the box. Prince dinked a cross in but the ball was missed by everyone.

The goal came in the 27th minute as some some great play on the right flank lead to a decent chance in the box for Mumbai. Rokade’s shot was first saved by the DSK keeper but the clearance from a defender found Kartik outside the box and he smashed in a shot from long range.

The rest of the half was pretty even as Mumbai went into half-time taking a 1-0 lead.

DSK came out in the second half all guns blazing as a shot from their forward was saved by Mumbai FC goalkeeper Vivek. The equalizer came in the 57th minute as a long range attempt from Patrick found the net. Vivek did well to meet the shot but the ball saved fell into the wrong side of the post making the score 1-1.

DSK took the lead immediately as a foul in the box earned them a penalty which was converted by Patrick again. DSK extended their lead as Lallianzuala pounced on a lose ball and hit it first time.

Mumbai kept fighting till the end but failed to make most of their chances as the DSK Keeper was keeping the forwards at bay.

At full time the match ended Mumbai FC u19 1-3 DSK Shivajians u19.

Mumbai Starting Line-up: Vivek; Sriraj, Suraj, Nishant, Prince, Nachiket, Rahul Das, Kartik, Jeinmang Lee, Prathamesh Rokade, Girik Khosla
