Kolkata, June 7 (IBNS): Ahead of the Bangladesh tour, Indian team Director Ravi Shastri said he is willing to serve as the coach of the side.

Addressing a press conference here, Shastri highlighted his willingness to serve as the coach of the cricket side as he said: "When we come back, I am going to have a chat with the board. I am not ruling it out at all. I might be there for a lot longer than you think."

Speaking on former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid's move to be the  coach of India A and India Under-19 teams, he said: "You cannot have a bigger role model than that man."

The Indian team will leave for the Bangladesh tour on Monday.

The team will play a Test match and a ODI series in the neighbouring nation.

This is India's first tournament since returning from Australia and New Zealand after playing the World Cup. India had reached the semi-finals of the 50-over mega cricket event which was won by Australia this time.
