Kolkata/IBNS: Former Indian cricket board (BCCI) chief and ex-skipper Sourav Ganguly is set for a comeback in the sporting arena with his new role in the cash-rich T20 tournament Indian Premier League (IPL).

Ganguly, as per reports, will be appointed as Delhi Capitals' Director of Cricket.

He was an advisor to the Delhi franchise in 2019.

Ganguly was last year controversially denied a second term as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president.

He was replaced by former cricketer Roger Binny.

Ganguly, who is known for shaping 'Team India', is a former skipper of IPL franchises Kolkata Knight Riders and Pune Warriors India.
