Twitterati blames Anushka over Virat's poor show in WC semis

New Delhi/Mumbai, Mar 26 (IBNS): As India crushed out of the World Cup after Australia defeated the current World Champions by 95 runs in the semi-final of the tournament here on Thursday, dejected fans took to the social media platform and expressed their anguish.
While there were some support for the team, there were huge criticisms for the players especially Indian Vice Captain Virat Kohli.
 
In a supportive tweet, iconic Indian cricketer  Sachin Tendulkar ‏tweeted: "Well played in the ICC World Cup Team India. A tough game today and a loss is always difficult to handle."
 
Cricketer Yuvraj Singh ‏praised the Indian side and posted: "India had a rely gd tournament Sad for my boys but Australia has played some outstanding cricket in this w cup deserves to be in the final."
 
Photographer Atul atul Kasbekar ‏tweeted: "Very proud of our team. Played like Lions thru #CWC15. Lost to a better team on the day."
 
Actor Siddharth ‏posted: "At the start of #CWC15 , we wouldve been proud to accept an unbeaten run to the semis. This team has done us all proud. #respect #sport."
 
However, criticized Kohli's girlfriend and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma for his poor performance.
 
She was bullied on social media for her presence in the Sydney stadium during the match in which Kohli managed to get just one run after struggling for 13 balls.
 
An Aashish Khandelwal tweeted: "Anushka Sharma flew all the way from Mumbai to Sydney to watch her boy Virat Kohli bowl 1 over, drop 1 catch, and score 1 run!
#JodiNo1"
 
Another Atul Khatri posted: "Dhoni will see his baby tomorrow... Virat Kohli's baby Anushka will leave him tomorrow."
 
Mocking her presence, a Vikram @gvicks tweeted: "What is true love? Anushka traveling to Sydney to watch Virat score just 1 run."
 
A Kripa Sharma tweeted: "I knew Anushka landing up in Sydney was a bad idea! #AUSvIND #CWC15."
 
Actress Sushmita Sen, however, supported Anushka for presence.
 
"So happy 2 C @AnushkaSharma b there 2 support her man n her country!!Those mocking her,pick another sport..IND's spirit n Cricket not 4 U👎:)," she tweeted.
 
Even politician Omar Abdullah also slammed the extreme reaction of the indian fans and posted: "The extreme reaction of some cricket followers (I refuse to call them fans) is being actively encouraged by 1or2 channels baying for blood."
