Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana left their official residence and headed to a 'safer place' amid deadly anti-government clashes in the country on Monday.

Bangladesh's leading daily Dhaka Tribune quoting sources said she is heading to West Bengal state of India.

Sheikh Hasina intended to record a speech before her departure but did not get the opportunity to do so, the newspaper reported.

According to reports, Hasina and her sister left the official residence in an army helicopter.

People stormed inside Ganabhaban after reports emerged that Hasina left it with her sister, local media reports said.

After Sunday, Bangladesh continues to witness yet another day of violence and deadly clashes between protesters and police.

A large number of people are reportedly taking out processions in various corners of the country including in the capital Dhaka city.

At least six people lost their lives during clashes with the police in Jatrabari and Dhaka Medical College areas of the capital city on Monday.

More than 90 people have died in the fresh round of violence which is sweeping across the nation where the protesters are demanding the Prime Minister to resign.
