Abhibus launches 'The India Bus Awards'

Hyderabad, Apr 2 (IBNS): Abhibus.com, India's fastest growing online bus ticket booking portal today announced the launch of its prestigious 'India Bus Awards' to be instituted for the first time.

The award will recognize and honour the significant contribution of the bus industry to the country. The awards will be conferred among fleet operators, both private and State Transport Undertakings.

The awards would be given away across fourteen categories and would revolve around operations, customer satisfaction, safety, employee satisfaction & environment. The award ceremony would be held at Mumbai in June this year.

Ernst & Young, LLP, are the official tabulators for the awards to validate the awards processes, bring in transparency and credibility. The awards would be jury based where jury members from the industry & corporate India would select the winners.

Commenting on the awards, Biju Mathews, COO Abhibus.com said, “Bus transport is widely preferred among Indian travellers for their travelling needs across India and the industry has significantly evolved in the last five years. It is time we honour and encourage the good practices in this sector.

Mathews further adds, “Our idea is to create a platform to showcase achievers among the bus transport industry in India. By recognizing and honouring excellence, we would be encouraging the sector to do better and thus contribute in improving the bus transport sector in India”.
