BSE Sensex, Nifty touch all-time closing high levels

Riding on strong global cues, BSE Sensex remained on top for the third consecutive session on Monday, advancing 384.30 pts to close at a life time high figure of 84,928.61 pts.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange ( NSE) moved up by 148.10 pts to close at 25,939.05.

The equity market remained green all through the session with the Sensex opening up at 84,651.15 points.

During the day it rallied 426 pts to touch 84,980.53 which was the day's high moment.

It closed at 84,928.61, up 384.30 pts from its previous close.

The NSE registered days high and low at 25,956 and 25,847.35 pts respectively.

The stocks that showed positive surge were Oil and Gas by 2.23 pc, Realty by 2.07 pc, Telecommunications by 1.93 pc and Energy by 1.80 pc.

The Mid- cap and Small- cap rose 0.73 pc each.

In 30 scrips, 19 advanced while 11 declined.
