Chandrababu Naidu holds meeting with BPCL team and VinFast aiming 'large scale investment and job creation' in Andhra Pradesh
Vijayawada/IBNS: In a bid to "rebuild" his state after storming back to power, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday held a couple of meetings with an aim to bring investment and create jobs.
Naidu held a meeting with a delegation of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) led by its CMD G. Krishna Kumar.
He said in an X post, "We explored the establishment of an oil refinery and petrochemical complex in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of 60-70,000 Cr. I have sought a detailed plan and feasibility report in 90 days."
"About 5,000 acres of land will be required for this project, which the government looks forward to facilitating in a hassle-free manner," Naidu added

The Chief Minister also held a meeting with Pham Sanh Chau, the Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Auto Limited, which is a leading automobile conglomerate from Vietnam.
Naidu has invited VinFast to set up an electric vehicle and battery manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister wrote on X, "Yesterday, I had productive meetings with @BPCLimited and VinFast that could result in large scale investment and job creation. This is a departure from what occurred over the last five years - when politics trumped progress, corruption replaced cooperation and destruction replaced development.
"Investors had lost confidence and left the State, impacting the economy and employment. Now, it is crucial that we win back the confidence of investors."
