DB Schenker appoints Oliver Bohm as CEO in India

New Delhi, Aug 3 (IBNS) : Oliver Bohm will be the new CEO of Schenker India Pvt. Ltd.

The logistics company is part of DB Schenker, the transport and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn AG in Germany.

Oliver Bohm has assumed the position on Aug 1 and replaced  Reiner Allgeier who is taking another appointment within the DB Schenker network.

Oliver Bohm has more than 27 years of experience as a business leader in numerous roles and has held various leadership positions with DB Schenker in the Asia Pacific region and globally.

Before taking up his role in India, he held the responsibility of Vice President - Sales & Key Account Management in the Regional Head Office at Singapore.

In his new assignment in India, Bohm will be responsible for the overall country management and growth of the Indian subsidiary of global logistics giant DB Schenker.

“Oliver comes with outstanding credentials especially as a business leader and people’s manager”, said Jochen Thewes, CEO of DB Schenker Asia Pacific.

Bohm said on his appointment: “It’s a great honor for me to lead DB Schenker in such an important market like India. I`m looking forward to expanding our organization here, and offering new logistics solutions and best practices to serve customers for even more sustainability and profitability.”
