Gartner positions L&T Infotech as 'Challenger' in Magic Quadrant for Oracle Application Management Service Providers worldwide
Mumbai, Nov 5 (IBNS): L&T Infotech, a global provider of information technology services and solutions and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the USD 14.3 billion Larsen & Toubro (L&T), on Wednesday announced that Gartner, Inc. has positioned L&T Infotech as a 'Challenger' in its 'Magic Quadrant for Oracle Application Management Service Providers, Worldwide' report, dated October 16, 2014, authored by Gilbert van der Heiden, Frances Karamouzis and Ian Marriott.
The company has improved its positioning this year from being a ‘Niche Player’ by Gartner in the mentioned report last year.
Gartner evaluated capabilities of 14 service providers to offer Oracle application management services. The providers were evaluated on their ability to deliver a comprehensive set of Oracle application management services across the Oracle product line; insights across industries for Oracle application management service decisions; and their investment in industry-specific offerings, Oracle application product line and intellectual property (IP), tools, templates and accelerators.
“We are pleased that Gartner has recognized our capabilities in Oracle application management services area and positioned us in ‘Challenger’s quadrant’. We have been investing in building Oracle applications based solutions portfolio for industry verticals which many of our global customers are leveraging for addressing their business issues,” said V.K. Magapu, Managing Director, L&T Infotech.
L&T Infotech have also been focusing on cloud-based offerings such as Fusion Applications and CX areas including the niche offerings such as in-memory applications and enterprise mobility.
