Government planning economic corridors to boost cargo movement
New Delhi, Sep 14 (IBNS): The Union government is planning to earmark 27,000 km across 44 stretches along the highways as economic corridors, according to media reports.
The economic corridors will ensure better and faster movement of cargo vehicles, reduce delays, and boost economic activities.
The government is also planning to build ring roads and logistics huts along these corridors to de-congest 30 top cities.
The plans is expected to be completed in six years, media reported.
