HMSI records 9% growth by selling 340,791

New Delhi, May 1 (IBNS): Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) on Friday said it has recorded 9% growth by selling 340,791 units, versus the negative growth of 4% of 2Wheeler industry in both domestic and exports sectors.

In the month of April, Honda’s Domestic Market share went up by 2%, attaining 25.6%, while Dom+Exp market share reached 23.5% (3% up). Also, volume sales went up by 26,785 units (Dom+Exp) as compared to 57,697 units of industry sales that dropped.

On the occasion of Akshay Tritiya, HMSI Sales crossed 41,000 units on Akshay Tritiya in a single day, recording 50% sales growth YoY over last year.

Also, in April, Honda inaugurated its 8th Traffic Training Park, its 1st in South India at Hyderabad, to spread the message of road safety among the masses.
