Kolkata, Apr 11 (IBNS): Automobili Lamborghini unveils the fastest car, the Huracán Performante - the powerhouse of Lamborghini DNA and innovation with combining new lightweight technologies, active aerodynamics and further improved powertrain.

The Huracán Performante is the result of Lamborghini innovations, producing a super sports car balanced between achieving the best lap times on a circuit with the most engaging and dynamic road driving.

The Huracán Performante set a new production car lap record of 6:52.01 min on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in Germany in Oct 2016.

The new entrant to the Huracán family is the convergence of technological developments to produce a car delivering perfect performance.

The enhanced, naturally aspirated Huracán engine is the most powerful V10 engine produced to date. Accelerating from 0- 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, the Huracán Performante is propelled from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.9 seconds, and brakes from 100-0 km/h in 31 m.

Commenting on the launch, Sharad Agarwal, Head, Lamborghini said, “The Huracán Performante is the highest performance version of Lamborghini’s V10 aspirated engine and is truly sculpted by the wind. This was reflected when the Huracán Performante scored a lap time of 6:52.01min in the race at the Nürburgring. The car comes with a unique attribute of Active aerodynamics “Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva” (ALA) that provides an ultimate road and track performance. Lamborghini’s core brand values of pure, visionary and cutting-edge technology are well reflected in this piece of innovation and we are proud to bring this car to the Indian market.”

Based on a hybrid aluminum and carbon fiber frame, the Huracán Performante’s body is produced from aluminum in conjunction with significant use throughout of Lamborghini’s award-winning Forged Composite contributing to the car’s weight reduction of 40 kg.

The Huracán Performante adopts Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA): ALA is also the Italian word for wing.

This patented active aerodynamic system developed by Lamborghini for the Huracán Performante provides an active variation of aero load for high down force or low drag.

The Huracán Performante is priced at INR 3.97 crores (Ex-showroom).
