ICICI Bank organises coin exchange mela, financial literacy programme in Mumbai's Dadar

Mumbai, Dec 16 (IBNS): ICICI Bank Ltd organised a coin exchange mela at Shivaji Park in Dadar last week under the aegis of the Reserve Bank of India.
C. Patnaik, General Manager, Financial Inclusion, RBI inaugurated the event.
 
The Bank periodically organises coin exchange melas to offer free facility of exchanging acceptable soiled and mutilated currency notes with fresh currency and coins to the general public. 
 
It is a much-awaited event that receives an overwhelming response from people from all walks of life. Anyone can avail of this facility free of cost. The RBI officials also imparted financial education to the public.
 
The coin mela saw participation of more than 1500 people, where they exchanged coins worth Rs. 5 lakh in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs.5, Rs.2 and Re.1.
 
ICICI Bank has 4054 branches and 12964 ATMs in the country (as on September 30, 2015). It has 614 branches and 2471 ATMs in Maharashtra along with 17 fully automated ‘Touch Banking’ branches which are available 24x7 on all days in the state.
