Indian Market: Sensex advances 363.79 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday rallied 363.79 pts to close at 52,950.63 pts on the strength of Realty, Consumer Durable, Oil and Gas, Auto and Industrials stocks amid positive global cues.

The Nifty too rose by 122.10 pts to 15,885.15.

The day opened in green and remain strong throughout the session.

The Sensex gained 315 pts to open at 52,901.28. It surged 400 pts to 52,986.77, days high before closing at 52,950.63, up by 363.79 pts from its previous close.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 52,986.77 and 52,804.08 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 15,892.90 and 15,834.65 pts respectively.

The sectoral indices like Realty, Consumer Durable, Oil and Gas, Auto and Industrials pushed the market up.

In scrips, Titan, M& M, Reliance Industries, Axis Bank and TCS gained however, selling in Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj finance and NTPC capped from further gains, broker informed.

The Mid Cap rose by 1.05 pc and Small Cap by 1.07 pc.

In 30 scrips, 21 advanced while 9 declined.

MSCI's main European Index rose around 0.8 per cent, while the STOXX 600 hit a new all-time high, up 0.7 per cent.

The same scene was witnessed in Asian Market, as Nikkei gained 2 per cent, Kospi rallied 0.65 per cent, and Hang Seng too advanced 1 per cent.
