Indian Market: Sensex down 267.68 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday tumbled down 267.68 points at 60,764.58 in opening trade as selling was seen in FMCG, Health Care and IT stocks.

The Nifty too fell 57.75 pts at 17,872.10.

The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 60,990.05 and 60,750.32 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 17,905.80 and 17,853.80 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.16 pc and small Cap by 0.17 pc respectively.

The losers were ITC by 1.84 pc to Rs 379.40, Hind Unilever by 1.38 pc to Rs 2544, Sun Pharma by 1.28 pc to Rs 993.10, L & T by 1.06 pc to Rs 2165.80 and HDFC by 0.98 pc to Rs 2691.75.

The gainers were Reliance Industries by 1.12 pc to Rs 2404.05, Tata Steel by 0.64 pc to Rs 109.95, Maruti Suzuki by 0.41 pc to Rs 8810.75 and Tech Mahindra by 0.32 pc to Rs 1015.45.
