Indian Market: Sensex surges 258.50 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday spurted by 258.50 pts at 39,302.85 on renewed buying in Realty, Health Care, Auto, Materials and Technology stocks.

The nifty of national stock exchange too rose by 82.75 pts at 11,604.55 pts.

The sensex opened higher by 117 pts to 39,161.01. It advanced by 315 pts to 39,359.51, days high before closing at 39,302.85, up by 258.50 pts from its previous close.

The sectoral indices like Realty,

Health Care, Auto, Materials and Technology stocks kept the market up for another day today.

In scrips, M&M, Bajaj Auto, Sun Pharma, HDFC Bank and Infosys rallied while selling in IndusInd Bank, NTPC, SBI, ONGC and Bharti Airtel restricted from further gains, broker informed.

The sensex registered days high and low at 39,359.51 and 39,037.96 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 11,618.10 and 11,516.75 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.21 pc and Small Cap by 0.44 pc.

In 30 scrips, 18 advanced while 12 declined.
