Indian Market: Sensex up 56 points

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday rose 56 pts to open at 65,272.42 as buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty moved up 28.30 pts at 19,421.10.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.48 pc and Small Cap by 0.51 pc.

In 31 scrips, 20 advanced while 11 declined.

The gainers were Tata Motors by 0.76 pc to Rs 625.35, NTPC by 0.75 pc to Rs 220.30, Wipro by 0.58 pc to Rs 416.75 and M & M by 0.54 pc to Rs 1547.05.

The losers were Jio Financial services by 4.99 pc to Rs 239.20, Titan by 0.40 pc to Rs 3066.15, Nestle India Ltd by 0.39 pc to Rs 21,951.60 and Reliance Industries by 0.32 to Rs 2510.10.
