Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday slumped 36 paise to close at 75.35, a 15-month low against the greenback because of rising crude oil prices and a firm US Dollar, dealer at the Foreign Exchange said.

The domestic unit declined ten paise at 75.09 in opening trade. Till the end of the session, it tumbled down nearly 40 paise to 75.39 days low before closing at 75.35, sliding by 36 paise as compared to its previous close.

The local unit registered days high and low at 75.06 and 75.39 respectively against the US Dollar, the dealer added.
