India's infrastructure output moves up 3.2 pct in August

New Delhi, Sept 30 (IBNS): The annual infrastructure output of India moved up by 3.2 percent in August, official data released on Friday revealed.

The output growth of July was 3 percent.

"The Eight Core Industries comprise nearly 38 % of the weight of items included in the Index of Industrial Production (IIP)," read a government statement.

" The combined Index of Eight Core Industries stands at 176.0 in August, 2016, which was 3.2 % higher compared to the index of August, 2015. Its cumulative growth during April to August, 2016-17 was 4.5 %," it said.
