Sriharikota, Jun 22 (IBNS): The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Wednesday created a record with the injection of 20 satellites, including 17 foreign satellites, into the orbit by using PSLV C34.

Reports said the PSLV carried a total weigh of 1288 kg, including Cartosat-2, which provides remote sensing and earth observations.

The satellites were placed into the orbit 17 minutes post the launch at 9.26 a.m. from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, reports said.

The foreign satellites were from Indonesia, Canada, USA and Germany.

This was the PSLV's 36th flight.
