Kolkata, Feb 18 (IBNS): Mobile internet is the primary source of information ranging from news to entertainment for the young people and mobile is going to be the new age television, said Tata Docomo's Digital Business Head Praveen Gupta on Wednesday, analyzing the report titled "Mobile Millennial Decoded" based on a survey conducted by the company.

He said, "This study reveals the declining of traditional information platforms as primary information sources."

Tata Docomo made an online survey of more than 1000 youths (aged between 18-25 years) across India from October to December last year.

Asked about the connection problems in Tata Docomo mobile network, Praveen Gupta said: “In any service category, be it telecom or banking, service failure or, part-service failure is part of the business. However, as and when we get such complaints on digital platform(s), we try to resolve them as soon as possible. We are doing the root-cause analysis to fix the problems and making sure that we always deliver consistent and great customer experience."

Gupta said that the Mobile Millennial Decoded report reflected their company's commitment to remaining close to this key consumer segment.

"Millennial consumers represent a key demographic for Tata Docomo, they continue to pioneer new ways of accessing and using information and devices and as an operator we are constantly learning from them in many respects," he concluded.
