Orion Edutech in partnership with National Skills Development centre celebrates India's 1st World Youth Skills Day

Kolkata, July 15 (IBNS): Orion Edutech, a skill development company, on Wednesday celebrated the First World Youth Skills Day and announced the official launch of PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna).

Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, Loksabha MP of West Bengal inaugurated the ceremony in Kolkata along with Manish Agarwal, Founder and Director, Orion Edutech.

Over 250 successful students of West Bengal were handed over certificates from the Minitry of Skill Development & Entreprenuership and NSDC who were enrolled in PMKVY project pilot phase.

On the spot offer letter were issued to the PMKVY Students, who have completed training in Apparel, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Beauty and Wellness and Retail sectors during the pilot phase. Additionally, Skills loan was provided by Canara Bank to 300 students without any mortgage under the scheme for the loan for vocational training and education.


Manish Agarwal, Founder and Director, Orion Edutech who was also present at the venue said “We feel proud that this sector has been recoginized globally and we would like to thank Canara Bank, NSDC and MSDE for providing Skill loan to 300 economically disadvantaged candidates today. We are proud to officaly launch PMKVY Scheme today which is part of SKILL INDIA Mission of our Hon. Prime Minsiter, Narendra Modi. Orion has the target to skill1 lakh canidates within FY16 under PMKVY Scheme out of National target of 21 lakhs.”
