Kolkata, Mar 16 (IBNS): Ruchi Soya Industries Limited (Ruchi Soya), one of India’s leading FMCG companies and manufacturer of healthier edible oils and soya foods in India, in its bid to strengthen product portfolio has launched Nutrela RiceBran Plus cooking oil. Currently, the company is market leader in edible oil category in the country.

Nutrela RiceBran Plus contains highest amount of gamma oryzanol amongst all edible oils which improves the HDL/LDL ratio and helps in reducing the risk of coronary heart diseases. The presence of phytosterols in the all new rice bran oil from Nutrela not only prevents absorption of cholesterol but also plays a role in prevention of alzheimer's disease. Nutrela RiceBran Plus also contains tocopherols that reduces bad cholesterol and even reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, making it one of the most heart friendly oils.

Nilesh Mazumdar, CEO, Consumer Brand Division, Ruchi Soya Industries Limited said, “We introduced Nutrela RiceBran Plus in West Bengal to address the growing importance of healthy and quality cooking oils. The category is witnessing strong growth owing to the rising health concerns, the growing awareness of the benefits of rice bran oil, and increasing disposable incomes therefore, it was inevitable for us to lead the introduction. Nutrela RiceBran Plus is being launched selectively as of now in eastern parts of the country and gradually will be expanded in other markets.”
