Sensex down by 854 points

Mumbai, Jan 6 (IBNS) The Indian market witnessed a major crash and dropped by over 3 per cent on Tuesday.

The  BSE Sensex was down by 854. 86 points to stand at 26987.46.

Nifty  fell by 251.05 points to stand at 8127.35.
