Sensex jumps over 500 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex Thursday rallied 520.26 pts at 52,342.79 as buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty too rose 152.20 pts at 15,565.50.

The sensex registered days high and low at 52,369.83 and 52,342.79 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered days high and low at 15,577.75

and 15,411.55 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up 1.01 pc and Small Cap by 1.10 pc.

In 30 scrips 28 advanced while 2 declined.

The gainers were Maruti Suzuki by 2.41 pc to Rs 7969.90, ICICI Bank by 2.39 pc to Rs 703.10, Bharti Airtel by 2.37 pc to Rs 658 and L& T by 2.02 pc to Rs 1508.

The losers were Powergrid by 0.29 pc to Rs 209.40 and Titan by 0.19 pc to Rs 2026.40.
