Sensex surged by over 300 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex Thursday remained strong for another session as it spurted 394 points at 58,459.57 as buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty too rose 129.15 points at 17,403.85.

The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 58,578.76 and 58,293.34 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 17,428.80 and 17,344.75 points respectively.

The Mid Cap rose by 1.12 per cent and Small Cap by 1.27 per cent.

In 30 scrips, 23 advanced while 7 declined.

The gainers were Tata Steel by 2.22 per cent to Rs 103.40, L& T by 2.20 per cent to Rs 1912.60, HCL Technology by 2.07 per cent to Rs 965.25, Sun Pharma by 2.06 per cent to Rs 961.70 and Infosys by 1.99 per cent to Rs 1458.25.

The losers were Bajaj Finance by 0.93 per cent to Rs 7408.40, Hind Unilever by 0.82 per cent to Rs 2645.50 IndusInd Bank by 0.57 per cent to Rs 1212.30.
