SpiceJet announces 12 new direct domestic, international flights

Gurugram, Mar 5 (UNI) Private airline SpiceJet on Tuesday announced the launch of 12 new direct flights encompassing international, UDAN as well as regular domestic routes. 

All flights on the domestic sectors are effective from March 31, 2019 while the international flight will commence operations on April 15, this year.

The airline is all set to expand its international footprint with the introduction of direct flights on the Hyderabad-Colombo route. It is the first Indian budget carrier to service the route and will operate on all days except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

It also announced six new flights on the Kishangarh-Ahmedabad, Lakhimpur-Guwahati and Jaipur-Amritsar sectors which were awarded to the airline under the third round of the Regional Connectivity Scheme. The airline will operate daily flights between Guwahati-Lakhimpur and Jaipur-Amritsar while flights between Ahmedabad and Kishangarh will be operational on all days of the week except Sundays.

With an aim to further reinforce its network in South India, SpiceJet announced four new daily direct flights connecting Chennai with Patna and Surat.

SpiceJet announced the fare starting at Rs 6499 on Hyderabad-Colombo, Rs 7599 on Colombo-Hyderabad, Rs 2464 on Ahmedabad-Kishangarh, Rs 2464 on Kishangarh-Ahmedabad, Rs 1931 on Guwahati-Lakhimpur-Guwahati, Rs 3911 on Chennai-Patna, Rs 3973 on Patna-Chennai, Rs 2599 on Chennai-Surat-Chennai, Rs 2837 on Jaipur-Amritsar and Rs 2933 on Amritsar-Jaipur routes.
