Stay happy and not under pressure at work says leading banker Chandra Sekhar Ghosh at HR award ceremony

Kolkata, Sep 16 (IBNS): Kolkata-based Genius Consultants Ltd, a provider of permanent staffing solutions, recently organised the Genius HR Excellence Award 2019.

Through the Genius HR Excellence Award, the company aims to honor and acknowledge pan-India Human Resource (HR) practitioners across various sectors and organisations who have contributed to the sector.

Said R. P. Yadav, Chairman and Managing Director, Genius Consultants, "We conceptualized this award to highlight the creativity of the HR practitioners of the organisations with an aim to encourage the adoption of the best practices from one another. By recognising the excellence in field of human capital management and celebrating the success, it helps to inspire an industry that fosters on leadership skills, service, motivation, innovation and encouraging a continuous upgrade of working environment. I would like to congratulate to all achievers who have won the HR Excellence Award in various field. I would also like to thank the jury members and all the participants who made this event a great success." 

The programme started with performance by well-known percussionist Mallar Ghosh and Pratik Ghosh.

Chief guest, Chandra Sekhar Ghosh, CMD, Bandhan Bank, said, "If people are not willing to work properly, the business would suffer a setback. HR is the best way to build up a worthy team to look after the employees' relationship with the organisation. Work with happiness, not with pressure. This time the participation is astonishing. I congratulate all the achievers of Genius HR Excellence Award 2019."
 

Dr. Kallol Dutt, Joint Labour Commissioner, Department of Labour, Government of West Bengal, Sandeep Seksaria, Managing Director, J G Hosiery and Vivek Gupta, Managing Director, Sanmarg felicitated the HR professionals.

Also present were Rahul Bose, Global L&D Manager, IBM and Ravi Gupta, CEO, Tata Auto Comp GY Batteries Pvt. Ltd.

The jury for the ninth edition of the Genius HR Excellence Award consisted of Nihar Ranjan Ghosh, President - HR at Emami, Nadeem Kazim, a veteran from the HR industry, Sourav Das Patnaik, Director at SREI, Arnab Chakraborty, GM - HR, CESC and Indrani Chatterjee, Head - HR at All Cargo Logistics.

The award was divided into two categories: Category A - companies having turnover of upto Rs 1,000 crore and  Category B - companies having turnover of Rs 1,001 crore and above.

The Individual Special Award consisted of categories such as CEO with Orientation, CHRO of the Year, HR Leader of the Year, Women Achiever of the Year, HR Professional of the Year, HR professional of the Year (specially-abled), Leadership in CSR, Mentor of the Year, Upcoming Leaders of Tomorrow.

Recipients in these categories included Abhishek Rungta, Seema Ahluwalia, Arindam Samanta, Asish Raha, Anirban Mitra, Adika Ratna Sekhar, Paratha Sarathi Chakraborti, Sudhanshu Roy, Subhankar Ghosh, Subrata Chatterjee, Indranil Bhattacharya, Sandeep Dash, Anil Pereira, Prabal Basu Ray, Rajiv Chakraborty, Oindrilla Roy, Piyali Bhattacharya, Amrita Roy, Madhuri Mehta, Banani Ghosh, Pooja Grover, Debargha Deb, Kunal Mukherjee, Vikramjit Singh Sawhney, Shrija Chandak, Krishnandu Ray, Nupur Jain, Atul Ranjan Sahay, Raunak Sarawgi, Kallol Ghosh, Sima Tiwary, Madhusudan Dutta, Agnijit Dasgupta, Vikash Nag, Debanshu Dutta, and Debapriya Sarkar.

The Individual Lifetime Award recipients were Malay Chatterjee and Viresh Oberoi.  

The Organisational Awards were marked on the basis of Best HR practices, Best Training Initiative, Innovation in Recruitment, Innovative Retention Strategy, Innovative Succession Planning, Best Innovative HR Technology, Dream Employer of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to the cause of Social Development, Organisation with Best Healthy Environment.
