Bengaluru/Kolkata, Feb 22 (IBNS): Swiggy, India’s largest food ordering and delivery platform, announced on Thursday the launch of its brand-new offering, ‘Swiggy Scheduled’.

The new service enables users to plan and order their meals in advance. Meals like lunch or dinner on a busy day, breakfast on a working day or just party menus can now be planned well in advance by placing a pre-order and leaving the rest to Swiggy.

Through its services, Swiggy has been bringing the choicest food options to the doorsteps of food lovers. With Swiggy Scheduled, users can now place their orders in slots of 30 minutes, a minimum of two hours and maximum of 48 hours in advance.

Also continuing its commitment to offering a great ordering experience to its users, some of the best and most reliable restaurants on the platform will be available on Swiggy Scheduled.

This convenience does not come at an additional cost as there will be no delivery charges on the service. In case of cancellation, the users can do so on the app itself, any time before the order becomes live.

“At Swiggy, we are constantly looking for new and powerful ways to serve our consumers’ every food need,” said Anuj Rathi, VP, Products at Swiggy. “Sometimes convenience means being able to plan ahead, especially when order delivery time is crucial. We’ve introduced Swiggy Scheduled for those who not only love a great meal but also want the assurance that it will reach their tables on time.”

Murali R, an IT professional and a Swiggy Scheduled user said, “Given our daily busy schedules, remembering to order at the right time can often become a hassle - resulting in skipping meals or settling for something else instead. Order-scheduling is a quick-fix, where you pick what you want and for when you want it and leave the rest to Swiggy.”

’Swiggy Scheduled’ has already been launched in Hyderabad and Chennai and would be rolled out in other cities by the end of March.
