Wholesale inflation eases to 5.09 percent in July

New Delhi, Aug 14 (IBNS):  Wholesale inflation has eased to 5.09 percent in July, as per government data released on Tuesday.

"The annual rate of inflation, based on monthly WPI, stood at 5.09% (provisional) for the month of July, 2018 (over July, 2017) as compared to 5.77% (provisional) for the previous month and 1.88% during the corresponding month of the previous year," read a government statement.

Build up inflation rate in the financial year so far was 2.92% compared to a build up rate of 0.62% in the corresponding period of the previous year.
