WPI inflation moves down to touch nearly 2-year low figure of 2.02 pct in June

New Delhi, July 15 (IBNS): Wholesale price-based inflation moved down to touch  2.02 percent in June, official data released on Monday said.

The WPI touched its 23-month low figure last month.

"The annual rate of inflation, based on monthly WPI, stood at 2.02% (provisional) for the month of June,2019 (over June,2018) as compared to 2.45% (provisional) for the previous month and 5.68% during the corresponding month of the previous year," read a ogvernemnt statement.

"Build up inflation rate in the financial year so far was 1.33% compared to a buildup rate of 2.41% in the corresponding period of the previous year," it said.
