Mumbai: Rinshul Chandra, Chief Operating Officer of Zomato’s food delivery vertical, has stepped down from his role, the company said in a regulatory filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Chandra resigned on April 5, and his last working day will be April 7, 2025.

The resignation letter, addressed to Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal, was included in the filing.

“Deepi, I am writing to resign as COO - Food Ordering & Delivery Business of Eternal Limited, effective April 7, 2025… I have decided to pursue new opportunities and passions that align with my evolving personal and professional goals,” Chandra wrote, expressing gratitude for his seven-year stint at the company.

While Zomato continues to use the same brand name and app for its food delivery business, the corporate entity has been renamed Eternal.

The filing made to the exchange also carried the Eternal branding.

Chandra joined Zomato in 2018 and was elevated to the role of COO for its food delivery business in 2023.

The company has not yet named a successor.

His exit adds to a string of high-level departures from Zomato over the past few months.

In September 2024, Akriti Chopra—co-founder, chief people officer, and one of Zomato’s earliest employees—resigned with immediate effect.

Chopra, who joined the company in 2011, had served in multiple key roles including chief financial officer and co-founder ahead of Zomato’s IPO.

In December, Hemal Jain, global head of finance and CFO of Zomato’s B2B grocery arm Hyperpure, also stepped down.
