Hyderabad, Mar 15 (IBNS): Online food supply app Zomato recently collaborated with the Cyberabad Traffic Training Institute during National Safety Week, to train its delivery partners on road safety measures.

Working closely with the officials, Zomato has successfully trained over 600 delivery partners, so far. Every delivery partner was extensively trained on the traffic rules & regulations, and accident prevention measures.

Speaking on the initiative, Zomato’s Mohit Kumar, COO -Food Delivery, said, “We have been working towards educating our delivery partners as a part of our Zomato Rider University, which is centred around skilled labour welfare and road safety programs. The partnership with Cyberabad Traffic Police was an opportunity for us to work along the custodians of the city and contribute towards the development of the city. We are thankful to the Traffic officials of Cyberabad Traffic Training Institute who took out time to educate our delivery partners and helped us create such opportunities for them.  We hope to continue and steadily train all our delivery partners in the city.”

“Road safety is one of the key focus areas for us. It is great to see a company like Zomato come forward for the cause, as full-fledged road safety can only be achieved through such collaborative efforts. We are delighted to extend our support to Zomato for their endeavours in improving awareness of its delivery fleet about the importance of safety and encourage them to adopt best practices in order to drive safely on the road,” said Cyberabad DCP Traffic Mr Vijay Kumar, IPS.
