Coronavirus: Nashik reports over 4,000 positive cases

Nashik/UNI: With addition of 182 new corona positive cases in Nashik in a single day on Monday, the district's tally surged to 4,043.

Of total 527 swab samples investigated in last 24 hours, 345 were negative and 182 tested positive.

Among the fresh cases, 123 were from Nashik city, 46 from Nashik Rural and 13 from Malegaon, a report from the district administration stated.

Meanwhile, 9 positive patients died of Covid-19 disease across the district, including 5 in Nashik city, 3 in Nashik Rural and 1 in Malegaon, pushing the toll to 234.

Among the deceased were two elderly people from Pandhurli and Thangaon in the Sinnar taluka.

While 75 patients were discharged today in the district, bringing the overall number of recovered patients to 2,194.

Of total 4,043 positive cases in the district, 2,040 were from Nashik city, 1,031 from Malegaon, 848 from Nashik Rural and 124 outsiders.

Now there are 1,615 active cases across the district, which include 1,084 in Nashik city, 344 in Nashik Rural, 150 in Malegaon and 37 outsiders, the report added.
