COVID-19: 48 fresh positive cases reported in Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada/UNI: As many as 48 fresh Coronavirus positive cases were reported in Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours, taking the total cases to 2,137.

A health bulletin here on Wednesday said the new positive cases were reported from 9 am on Tuesday to 9 am this morning.

Out of the 48 new positive cases, 12 reported in Guntur district, 11 in Chittoor district, 7 in Kurnool district, 4 in East Godavari district, three each in Anantapur and Krishna districts.

Apart from it, eight persons belonging to other states were tested positive for COVID-19 in the state in various districts.

Meanwhile one Coronavirus patient died in Kurnool district on Tuesday taking total number of deaths to 47.

So far 1142 patients have been discharged from hospitals as they had completely recovered while 948 are undergoing treatment in various hospitals, the bulletin said.

Out of the total number of 2,137 cases, 591 cases were reported in Kurnool district, 399 in Guntur district, 349 in Krishna district, 142 in Chittoor district, 118 in Anantapur di.
