Covid-19: 57 fresh positive cases in Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada/UNI: As many as 57 fresh cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours taking the count of infected persons in the state to 2,157 of which 1,252 have recovered and discharged.

A health bulletin here on Friday said that 57 fresh cases of Coronavirus were reported from 0900 hrs on Thursday to 0900 hrs on Friday.

Out of the 57 new cases, 14 cases were reported each in Nellore and Chittoor districts, 8 cases in Kunrool district, 9 cases in Krishna district, four cases in Anantapur district, 3 cases in Vizainagaram district 2 cases each in Kadapa and Visakhapatnam districts and one case in EG district.

However, no death of patient of Coronavirus has been reported for the last 24 hours and the death toll remains 48. So far 1,252 patients have been discharged while 857 patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals.

Most of the cases were reported six districts, Kurnool (599), Guntur (404), Krishna (306), Chittoor (165), Nellore (140) and Anantapur (122).
