COVID-19: Nine fresh cases reported in Haryana

Chandigarh/UNI: Nine fresh cases of Novel Coronavirus were reported in Haryana on Sunday, taking the count to 282.

According to an official bulletin, four new cases were reported from Panipat district, two each from Faridabad and Hisar and one case from Sonepat district on Sunday.

So far, the pandemic has claimed three lives in the state. One death each was reported from Karnal, Rohtak and Ambala districts.

In Haryana, Nuh district leads the tally with 57 positive cases, followed by Gurugram 51, Faridabad 45, Palwal 34, Sonepat 20, Panchkula 18, Ambala 13, Panipat 12, Karnal six, Sirsa, Hisar and Rohtak four each, Bhiwani and Yamunanagar three each, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Jind two each, while Fatehabad and Charkhi Dadri districts recorded one case each.

Out of 21,467 samples, 282 tested positive and 19,241 negative, while reports of 1,930 were awaited. There are 94 active cases in the state.

A total of 185 patients, including 39 from Nuh, 35 from Gurugram, 29 each from Faridabad and Palwal, 10 each from Panchkula and Ambala, five each from Karnal and Panipat, four each from Sirsa and Sonepat, three from Yamunanagar, two each from Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Hisar, Jind and Bhiwani and one patient each from Fatehabad and Charkhi Dadri districts have been discharged from hospitals, so far.

A total of 34,308 patients have been put on surveillance till date, out of which 18,816 have completed their surveillance period and currently, 15,492 patients are under surveillance.

Meanwhile, apart from 282 positive cases, 14 Italians had tested positive. Thirteen of them had been discharged and one later tested negative for COVID-19. However, he died due to some other reason.
