COVID-19 outbreak in India: Death toll stands at 377

New Delhi/IBNS: The death toll due to COVID-19 in India now stands at 377, as per latest Ministry of Health data revealed on Wednesday.

India has recorded  11,439 cases so far.

In the past 24 hours, 38 people have died and 1,076 cases have been reported in the country.

India on Tuesday extended the lockdown till May 3.

The 21-day lockdown was supposed to end on Apr 14.

Indian PM Narendra Modi on the same day extended the lockdown during a national address.

The disease, which is believed to have originated from China, has now spread across different countries around the globe.
