COVID-19: Septuagenarian dies in Jammu, tests positive

Jammu/UNI: A 75-year-old man died of Coronavirus in Jammu on Wednesday.

He became 11th victim of the pandemic in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, hospital sources said here.

They further said that he died at his residence on Tuesday at Preet Nagar in Digiana area following which the family took him to GMC Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.

"His sample was taken for COVID-19 and the body was kept in mortuary to await the reports", they stated.

The source further stated that the sample returned to be positive for the virus and the body would now be handed over to the family after following the protocol.

However, one more person was reportedly tested positive in New Plot area here.
