Delhi records 77 COVID-19 cases

New Delhi/UNI: Delhi registered 77 cases of COVID-19 and one death from the virus in the past 24 hours, a health bulletin said here on Wednesday.

The positivity rate in the National Capital is 0.10 per cent while the fatality rate stands at 1.74 per cent. The active cases have come down to 688 as a total of 407 patients also recovered during the past 24 hours.

The fresh cases came from a total of 76,095 tests, comprising 54,159 RT PCR/CBNAAT/True Nat and 21,936 rapid antigen tests, conducted in the last 24 hours.

The total cases in Delhi have reached 14,35,281 while the death toll has surged to 25,021.

As per the official data, 14,585 COVID beds are available in hospitals, 6,277 in dedicated COVID Care Centre, and 626 in dedicated COVID Health Care Centres.

The health bulletin said 1,29,054 beneficiaries were vaccinated during the past 24 hours, which included 92,547 first dose recipients and 36,507 who were administered with a second dose.

Delhi had recorded its highest single-day spike of 28,395 COVID-19 cases on April 20.
