Germany: Covid-19 cases reach 157,641

Berlin/UNI: Number of Covid-19 cases in Germany has reached 157,641 while the death toll due to disease mounted to 6,115 disclosed the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Wednesday.

Sputnik quoted the institute as saying that 202 coronavirus patients passed away due to the disease over on Tuesday while 1,304 people tested positive for the virus.

These latest figures mark a deterioration from the figures of the past 24 hour period when 163 people died due to the disease. Up till now, about 120,000 people have recovered, as 3,100 more people made recoveries over the past 24 hours.

Bavaria continues to be the most adversely affected state with 41,000 cases followed by Baden Wurttemberg which has 31,000 cases.
