Heavy rains lash Kolkata

| | Jun 13, 2016, at 02:35 pm
Kolkata, June 13 (IBNS): After reeling under intense heat and humidity for past few days, Kolkata and its adjacent areas, including several parts of Howrah, North and South 24 Parganas and Hooghly, received a heavy downpour with thunder squall on Monday.

Besides the thundershower, breeze, having a wind spead of 20-30 kmph, blew over Kolkata.

Rain is still lashing several parts of Kolkata and adjoining areas.

However, hour-long rains have brought some relief by dropping the temperature in the city by few degrees.

No casualty has been reported so far due to the thundershower.
