India adds 44,059 new COVID-19 cases, 511 deaths

New Delhi: India, one of the worst COVID-19 hit nations in the world, added  44,059 new cases in the past 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health data released on Monday.

The total number of Coronavirus cases in the country now stands at 91,39,866.

In the past 24 hours, 511 people died due to the highly infectious disease which is believed to have originated from China.

The total number of deaths due to the disease so far now stands at 133738.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 443486.

So far, 8562641 people have been discharged.
