Pune/UNI:  In a bid to combat the spread of COVID-19, the Federation of Pune Trade Association on Tuesday decided to shutdown all the markets for next three days.

Nearly 50,000 shops will be shut till March 19, the closure will adversely hit business.

As there are 16 cases of the pandemic here, this city-considered the cultural hub of Maharashtra-is slowly distancing itself from daily chores of lives in spheres of divinity, trade and academic activities.

Meanwhile, Pune administration today issued the notice informing about closure of Shaniwar Wada-the historical fort in this city.

World-famous Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple has asked devotees to seek e-darshan as it shuts doors till further notice.

The Bhimashankar temple, one of the 12 Joytirlinga shrines in India, will also be closed after evening prayer today.
