India record 8,603 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours amid Omicron scare

New Delhi:  8,603 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in India in the past 24 hours as authorities are imposing stricter rules to prevent the spread of the Omicron variant across the nation.

During the past 24 hours, 415 deaths due to the virus were also recorded.

India's Active caseload currently stands at 99,974

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases.

It currently stands  at 0.29 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.35 percent.

8,190 recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours.
