India records 13,451 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

New Delhi:  India, a nation which witnessed a devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, registered 13,451 new cases in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.

During the past 24 hours, 585 people died due to the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, 14,021 people recovered from COVID-19 d in the last 24 hours.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.19 percent.

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases and currently stands at 0.48 percent.

India's Active caseload stands at 1,62,661 which is the lowest figure in 242 days.

With India celebrating the festive season, there are fears that the country might witness a spike.
